Woodchuck Removal
Woodchucks dig deep burrows under concrete slabs and rock walls. They will excavate enough dirt to cause the concrete slab to sink and crack. When burrowing into rock walls, enough dirt can be displaced to cause the wall to collapse. Woodchucks are more active in the morning and late afternoon, and usually don’t travel far from their burrows. They feed on vegetables and other plants. You may have only one animal, but it is possible to have as many as 5 Woodchucks in one burrow.
In most cases your best option to prevent Woodchucks is our Underground Exclusion/Underground Fencing service. This will evict any problem animals and prevent their return.
Property owners can also try to live trap and remove woodchucks from the property. We recommend then fill in their burrows so other animals will not reoccupy them. In some cases this will work in the short term but doesn’t guarantee ongoing or long term control.
